Professional Drywall Installation

Our team uses industry standard procedures and premium materials when installing drywall, so your walls will last for life. Common materials include screws, sanders, and quality drywall mud, as well as a ladder to reach those high ceilings.

There are several kinds of sheetrock that we rely on to create high quality walls. The first is “Green Board,” which is notable for being moisture resistant, and is often used in areas with running water such as bathrooms. We use a variety of sound-resistant sheetrock such as QuietRock in multi-family units and apartments to reduce sound-leakage in between properties. Finally, we use impact-resistant drywall in high-traffic areas such as corridors in healthcare facilities, school, play areas, or correctional institutions. In certain situations, we may also rely on flexible boards, fire-resistant drywall boards, or blue board. Here at Fayetteville Drywall Pros, our team will take the unique needs of your project into account when selecting the appropriate materials for the job, to provide you the highest quality drywall installation every time.

Professional Drywall Repair

Drywall repair is one of the most common home repairs we complete, so you’ve come to the right place if you need a patch in the Fayetteville area. For small holes, we clean them, remove any debris, and then apply a simple drywall patch. Drywall patches are made of spackle, and are left to dry for 24 hours, and then we return and sand them down to give the wall a consistent look and feel. Finally, we apply a coat of paint to the patch to make sure that the patch blends perfectly with the wall. It’s like we were never even there!

Larger holes naturally require more time and attention. We’ll measure the hole, and if a simple patch isn’t enough, we’ll cut a piece of sheetrock slightly larger than the hole and install it. We use furring strips or the sheet’s paper to make the installation, and then we cover the patches with mud and sand them to

ensure a smooth installation.

Corners are not as straightforward as walls, but our team has handled more than we can count. We begin by using a hacksaw to cut out the corner bead, and then replacing it with a new drywall corner and nailing it in place. We then apply several coats of joint compound to the new corner, allowing each coat to dry before reapplying. Finally, we can the joint compound smooth, and then apply paint and primer to make the patch flush with the wall.

Have any Drywall Problems?

We have over ten years of experience making home and business repairs.

Plaster Repair

Not only can we repair drywall, but we can also handle any plaster repairs you may need. Plaster is generally found in older buildings, and was traditionally handled by experienced craftsmen. Fortunately, if you’re in need of plaster patching we are fully capable of doing a great job. Many of the techniques involved with drywall patching translate to plaster, and we can even apply Blue board to your wall, giving it a new look and feel.

Signs That You Need a Drywall Repair

If you notice any of the below signs in your home or business, give us a call immediately. If you procrastinate you may risk further damage to your property, increasing the total cost of the job in the long run. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!

  • Water damage - If your home was recently flooded or you experienced a leak, it’s important to get the drywall replaced in all affected areas. If you leave it unattended, mold spores can develop, causing health problems and an expensive cleanup.
  • Damaged Walls - Wear and tear is normally in any home. Common breaks in the wall due to doorknobs, nail holes, or accidents can be unsightly, but easily fixed with a drwall patc and small paint job.
  • Leaky Roof - A leaky roof can cause water damage to the interior ceiling of your house as water drips down. Once the roof is repaired, a simple drywall repair will fix the damaged surfaces in your home, leaving it good as new.
  • Outdated Popcorn Ceiling - If your ceiling is looking staid, we can come in and give it a new texture, improving the atmosphere of your home overnight.
  • Holes in the Ceiling – Damaged ceilings can happen as floors above age and weaken, or from impacts from below. They can be extremely unsightly, so give us call so we can repair them for you.

How to Save Money with Your Drywall Project

While a simple drywall patch can be tempting to do on your own, many do-it-yourselfers attempting their first drywall repair end up with lumpy patchwork. Calling a professional from the start can end up saving you money in the long-run. A viable way to save money on your repair is by pre-buying the exact coat of paint you need so that our team doesn’t have to spend time researching the exact coat you need. Having the right color from the get-go will save time and bring the total cost of the job down.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are we licensed?

Yes, our home improvement company is registered to perform contracting work under $30,000. North Carolina does not require a general contractors license for contracts under $30,000. It is rare that a drywall project comes close to that amount, so we are in full compliance with the law. Plus, we don’t have to worry about paying for the general contractors license, and we are able to pass this cost savings on to you, the consumer. This is how we are able to offer such affordable drywall services while keeping the quality high.

How much does a drywall repair cost?

The cost of a drywall job varies based on several factors, but the average cost of a drywall repair or installation ranges between $150-$500. A simple drywall patch will likely cost less than $200 in total.  Some of that factors that affect the cost of the job include the project size, the cost of the materials, and the necessary labor. Ceiling work is more expensive than wall work as ceilings need to be twice as thick, so they require twice as much drywall. Naturally, the more complicated or intricate the job, the longer it will take to complete. Much of the time involved with a drywall job involves preparing the job site, especially if it is a residential project. We take great care to cover your furniture and household items to ensure that we leave

your home even better than when we arrived.

Do you do other kinds of home repairs?

Yes, with our many years of experience in the home repair industry we are equipped to handle a variety of home repairs and updates. While we are experts in drywall, we can proudly assist with the following services as well:

  • Deck Repairs & Installations
  • Painting Touch-Ups
  • Furniture Assembly
  • Window Repair & installation
  • TV Mounting
  • Roof Repair

  • Wallpaper Installation

Note that we do not do HVAC, complete roofing jobs, plumbing, or electrical jobs, but we have a network of great contractors we can recommend. As always, feel free to give us a ring and we can help you get the home you’ve always wanted.

Do You Have Insurance?
